Cosa sta causando la sgocciolatura dal tuo rubinetto

Translating…

Drip drip drip … Not only is this sound annoying, it is also expensive! When your sink, tub, or showerhead has a leak, it will keep dripping until you fix it.

Sometimes you may think it will go away on its own, but be advised … it won’t!

Leaks do not just happen spontaneously and for no reason. They are usually the product of one of a few things. I’l go over two things specifically that could be the causes of your leaks.

First, leaks could be caused by worn out fittings in your sink called washers. When these washers wear out, wter is able to get through the worn edges causing the water to drip or leak when you do not want it to.

Another possibility for the reason that your sink is leaking is because something is wrong with the actual handle of the sink. When something is wrong with the handle, water can leak from it, as opposed to from the spout. This kind of leak happens at the base of the handle and can be caused by the need to replace the faucet’s metal nuts or rubber o-ring.

Even when homeowners know that the problem could be one of these three things, they still may have an extremely difficult time attempting to fix the problem. Firstly they would have to go to the home improvement store, and guess what type of washer, nut, or rubber o-ring fits into their faucet. If they did not want to simply guess, they would have to take the faucet apart and find the piece to take with them to the home improvement store.

The problem with taking the faucet apart, is that at some point, it is giong to have to be put back together. And if you do not have the know-how to actually put that sink back together correctly, then you may end up with a much worse problem than you had when it was just leaking or dripping!

If you have confidence that you can do this on your own, by all means go right ahead.

If you have an ounce of self doubt, though, as to whether you can properly complete the project, you should think about hiring a professional plumber. Plumbers do this kind of thing every day. And when it is a simple problem like a worn out washer, and you have not tampered with it, then the plumber can come in to the fresh problem, analyze it, and fix it quickly and efficiently.
